Our Locations – Organic Genetics

Organic Genetics

Cultivation facilities

Organic Genetics has obtained two separate locations, setting us up to grow both THC-rich medicinal cannabis and CBD-rich hemp.

Our Indoor Cultivation Facility, Auckland

We are currently building a state-of-the-art 2800 m2 high-security indoor cultivation facility in Auckland. Building completion is expected to finish in late December 2021, with the internal fit-out commencing shortly after. It is here that we will be cultivating our premium medicinal cannabis crops, high in THC. Our cultivation facility will also house our on-site extraction facilities, as well as all of our processing and manufacturing facilities. We are expecting an output of around 5600kg of dried cannabis flower per annum from this location.

Our Outdoor Grow Site, Northland

At our outdoor grow site located in Northland, we’re able to utilise over 50 ha of flat land to grow our premium line of CBD-rich hemp plants. These will be housed in over 10 greenhouses, with an output of 2-3 crop cycles per year. We are working closely with a local trust as well as the community to ensure not only a profitable grow, but a boost to Northland’s economy whilst protecting the mauri (lifeforce) of the whenua (land). Our partners are equally excited about the opportunities and value this can bring to their families and community. We will also be working closely with them on our regenerative practices which will play a huge role in the overall management of the land. Together we hope to help provide long-term enviro-economic stability to Northland and become pioneers in the industry for regenerative horticulture.

THE ORGANIC GENETICS ADVANTAGE

By cultivating at two separate locations we can tap into the potential of both THC-rich medicinal cannabis and CBD-rich hemp plants, Being able to cultivate both plants is very important to the medicinal cannabis industry as both play vital roles in treating a wide variety of diseases and chronic illnesses. So, access to both is a huge advantage for Organic Genetics and integral for us to build an extensive product suite, with the ultimate goal of being able to treat more patients and an array of conditions.

Growing in outdoor greenhouses also means we can take advantage of year-round cultivation, which opens the doors to immense market potential.

Our Indoor Cultivation Facility, Auckland

Organic Genetics has an agreement in place to lease its indoor location, under a 6-year lease with the option to purchase upon lease expiry. The external building is still being constructed and is expected to be completed in late 2021, with our internal fit-out commencing shortly after. After our final site check is conducted by the Ministry of Health and Commercial Cultivation Licence is granted, it is here that we are aiming to cultivate our premium medicinal cannabis crops, high in THC. We are aiming to build our indoor facility to EU GMP standards with project management spearheaded by our partners Kind Future, who have had over 1o years of experience in both building and operating cannabis cultivation facilities. We are expecting an output of around 3628kg of dried cannabis flower per annum from this location.
